Dr. Robert P. Norton, MD
Dr. Robert P. Norton graduated magna cum laude at Jefferson Medical College in 2007 before winning one of the nation's most prestigious spine surgical fellowships at the New York University Hospital for Joint Diseases.
His peers recognize him as a pioneer in the fields of surgical and natural treatments of complex spinal conditions. He believes in whole-body care, using physical fitness, nutrition, and emotional healing as tools for overall health.
Dr. Louis Starace, MS, MD
Dr. Louis M. Starace has practiced personalized, professional orthopedic care for more than 20 years. After earning his fourth degree from New York Medical School, he was Chief Resident of Orthopedic Surgery at the Long Island Jewish Medical Center.
Dr. Starace focuses on improving his patients’ daily lives, eliminating pain and optimizing body function.
Dr. Nicholas Mataragas, MD
As a specialist in spinal surgery, Dr. Mataragas’ clinical interests include adult reconstructive spinal surgery, cervical and lumbar spinal surgery, new and improved miminimally invasive spinal implant technologies and the use of artificial disk replacement techniques. Dr. Mataragas was one of the first surgeons to bring minimally invasive surgical technology to the Chicagoland area.
His interest in minimally invasive techniques culminated in his mentoring of surgeons nationally and internationally. Surgeons from far-reaching places such as Spain, Greece, Korea and Japan have visited his operating room to learn emerging techniques in spinal surgery. In addition to attending numerous nationwide discussion panels on the evolution of spinal implant technology, he has been instrumental in the development of minimally invasive spinal surgical techniques and devices.
Rick Burgess, PA-C
Rick began his education in medicine in 1983. After completing programs in nursing, radiology, and echocardiographic imaging, he graduated from the University of Southern Maine. It was there that he completed his B.S. in Health Sciences and graduated Magna Cum Laude.
Later, Rick went on to earn his Masters Degree in Medical Sciences at Nova Southeastern University in Florida, where he graduated with honors.
Rick is also a veteran, having served in the United States Armed Forces for 8 years.
Kim Burgess, PA-C
Kim graduated from Mars Hill College in Mars Hill, NC in 1991 with a degree in Mathematics. A year later, she also completed a degree in Psychology.
Kim then went on to work as a math teacher for three years in South Florida. Shortly after, she began her medical education in 1995 at Barry University in Miami. It was there that she completed her certification as an Athletic Trainer in 1997.
Kim worked as an Athletic Trainer until 2013, then went on to earn her Masters Degree in Medical Sciences at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Myers.
Prior to joining the team at Multi-Care Medical in 2018, she practiced in Geriatric and Internal Medicine.
Christina Rampaul has been a Registered Nurse since 2014, and a board-certified Nurse Practitioner for since 2017. She obtained her masters in Nursing from Florida Atlantic University. Her experience includes telemetry, internal medicine, surgical procedure, orthopedics, family practice, and assists with outpatient procedures. She has worked in a variety of health care settings, treating patients with a variety of illnesses and injuries.
Due to her experience in and passion for the field, she has an excellent bedside manner, and is thorough with research for each patient. Christina is a team player ready to provide seamless collaborative care for patients.
